It’s important to keep in mind that everyone’s body works uniquely, so just because you may start off the same weight and build as someone else, that’s not to say your weight loss journeys will mirror each other. In fact, there are so many factors that come in play including your energy output, nutritional intake, your daily movement, how much water you retain, your age and gender etc.

1. Starting Point: Your Unique Body and Health Background

Everyone arrives at a retreat with a different baseline. Your age, metabolism, body composition, medical history, and even hormones all influence how your body responds to training and nutrition. For example, someone with a history of yo-yo dieting might initially lose weight differently compared to someone who is new to structured exercise. Recognizing this helps set realistic expectations.

TOP TIP: Don’t compare yourself to anyone else. Your body and your journey is unique to you. We encourage guests to take before and after photos as this is the number one biggest measurement of progress and change, NOT the scales!

2. Fitness Level and Training Experience

How active you’ve been before arriving plays a big role. A beginner might see quick results from consistent movement, while a seasoned gym-goer may need more progressive overload to see changes. Retreat programs often adapt to individual levels, but your personal fitness history shapes the rate of progress.

TOP TIP: Work to your own level but use our community of other guests and people in the classes to motivate and encourage you. It’s better to start of slowly and build your fitness and strength up than go all-in right at the start.

3. Nutrition and Eating Habits

Nutrition is often the biggest factor in weight loss. If you’re on our Body Transformation program, your coach will create you a personalised and structured meal plan. However, your previous eating habits, portion control, food intolerances, and relationship with food will affect how your body responds. Learning to eat mindfully and sustainably often leads to longer-lasting results beyond the retreat itself.

TOP TIP: Stick to your personalised meal plan. It has been created for you specifically based on your statistics and retreat goal. If you feel you need more or less food, let your Coach know.

4. Mindset, Stress, and Lifestyle

Weight loss isn’t only physical, it’s deeply tied to mindset. Stress, sleep quality, motivation, and emotional triggers can either accelerate or slow down results. TOP TIP: Disconnect from your phone and social media to stay away from distractions. Instead, make time to focus on your breathwork and active recovery.
